Great article! So NAC helps but my lyme brain couldn't figure out the other strategy.

Thanks for that reminder. That's why, IMO, liver & kidney support is required at all times, all along the journey - even best to start before any Rx (of any kind as most can be very hard on the body in some way, even when we need them on our team).
Every now and then NAC will be explored in a similar article and - hopefully - MDs and hospital staff will start to include this with treatment, not just with abx but with other Rx, too.
The article really falls short, though, suggesting just NAC. It's very good. But there are so many other excellent considerations.
There are many naturopathic doctors (whom they never thought to interview) in our country who know much more about what can help in this manner - along the lines here:

Fascinating article Razzle!
It mentioned that tetracycline is bacteriostatic, and doesn't allow bacteria to reproduce. I don't think that's the case with with doxy though (cysts), and it is a tetracycline med. The rest is fascinating. :)
