Not on any meds and no new supplements. Past few days: nocturnal leg/foot cramps, veery thirsty, headache, forgetfulness, dizziness, INSOMNIA, restlessness, some mild ankle swelling, craving salty foods, increased fatigue, etc., I'm sure I forgot a few.

All labs including electrolytes have come back normal. What the heck can be wrong with me? Something feels really 'off' and the internet gives Mag or Potassium deficiency? Or is this part of the illness? or something else? heeelp!

Hi tailfeathers,

Insomnia could be related to a coinfection, or to the full moon.

Nocturnal foot and legs cramps could be any number of things-magnesium deficiency, coinfection.

Mild foot swelling...hmmm...is it watery swelling, or more like tissue swelling?

And how long have you had these symptoms?

If it's just been in the last 10 days, I would suspect perhaps it's time for a parasite cleanse.
See your doc first to make sure it is safe for you to treat parasites. (meds, supps and other health conditions)

If it's been a month or more, probably time to check in with your LLMD and get evaluated for a coinfection.

Some of the symptoms you've mentioned sound like bartonella.

Best wishes [Smile]

Thx GretaM, I haven't treated parasites yet, I know that is one of a biggies for me. I have these sx off and on and the present 'episode' started 2 days ago quite suddenly. I suspect it has a lot to do with the ANS too.

I really appreciate your input, thanks!!

"All labs including electrolytes have come back normal."

How long ago were those tests done?
If your symptoms began suddenly, two days ago, it sounds like something has changed.

Sudden onset of ankle swelling may be due to the heart not pumping as strongly, called cardiac failure.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/heart-failure/DS00061/DSECTION=symptoms

Weigh yourself...if you're retaining fluids, you may suddenly weigh five pounds more.
Can you check your blood pressure?

Are things improving or getting worse.
You may need to see your family doctor to be evaluated.

Carol, the tests were done two weeks ago and I've been dealing with these monthly episodes for over a decade. Oh I definitely *know* my heart isn't pumping well and I have been evaluated by a cardiologist (waste of time). My BP today was 131/80, HR 83. Things are just the same, no different.

Eeks.. now I'm scared.

If they're monthly, could be Lyme...

If they coincide with full moon always, could be parasites...

Have you been diagosed with congestive heart failure?

CoEnzyme Q10 can help the heart regain strength.

Lyme and company (parasites, yeast, etc). Very thirsty and craving salty foods sounds like you might be dehydrated. If you live in a hot or humid state, it's easy to do. I forget to drink water when it's humid, yet that's when I really need it.

Insomnia, foot cramps and increased fatigue could be proto (protomyxzoa).

Thanks everyone, yes, I do have heart issues but the cardiologist thought they were 'no big deal'! I do tend to get these episodes more in the summer months and though I haven't treated parasites nor protomyxzoa I think the main culprit may be my ANS. This is horrible!!
