I have had ongoing neuropathy for 7 weeks now after discontinuing Flagyl. I was put on Diflucan for systemic yeast 3 days ago. My LLMD said the Diflucan would also help bust cysts. I think I have noticed the neuropathy getting worse an hour after taking my Diflucan today. I never had any neuropathy with Lyme before Flagyl so it's not a herx. Is Diflucan liable to cause neuropathy like Flagyl? I can't find a thing on line relating the two
Thank you.

Thanks KGG, I have for sure determined that Diflucan IS making neuropathy form Flagyl worse, it has spread more!
I would say for those who have neuropathy from Flagyl, be VERY careful with Diflucan. I am going to ask my Neurologist about this and report back as I think it is VERY important.
I am now at a loss about what to take for yeast. I managed to take 3 days of 200mg of Diflucan and felt immediate, slight improvemet, but after dose 3, with an hour, neuropathy spread up both legs to my thighs.
I have tried Olive Leaf Extract, but had to stop taking it due to severe facial burning and beet reddness. It was like torture, not exaggerating.
What is something else that will work as good in Diflucan's place for me? Is there an RX alternative?? I have cut out all carbs, Gluten, and dairy, upped the probiotics, oral care, eating garlic, etc. There is 0 improvement. I now have depression and a severly stiff neck with pain in the spine and never had this with Lymes or co-infections.
Input on Diflucan alternative please.
Thank you.

An RX alternative is Sporanox (Itraconazole) dose can vary. I find 200mg per day to be effective in treating and preventing yeast symptoms. (I am prone to developing skin infections especially near my port site, this keeps me clear.)
If you've never taken it before, then a lower dose may be effective for you. It is a very strong systemic broad spectrum antifungal.
I also take GSE capsules, 3 capsules twice daily to help with this and cysts.
Hope this works better for you. Take care!

Thanks sammy. I checked the side effects and it is common for tingling and numbness, pins and needles. Darn, I hope I can get rid of this thing.

OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT – LINKS - and why only SEAGATE would be the brand of capsules I'd recommend. -

The medical mushroom, LION'S MANE should also be considered to aide nerve healing. -
