it was just a follow up yearly mri no symptoms brain mri is stable with no new lesions but c-spine had first ever lesion, thr report says brain mri does not look like ms but c-spine dose so kind of freaked

Rumi - here are two links that confirm the presence of spinal lesions in Lyme.
I'm not saying that it doesn't happen in Lyme, but that it doesn't rule out MS---regardless of whether it is from Lyme, or partially from Lyme, or what.
Maybe I partiallyI mispoke. But what I was trying to say is that I think it's a mistake to just reflexively say, "It's Lyme," and think that it's not a big deal (not that anyone was saying the last part).
Dr. B, for instance, definitely says that not all MS is from Lyme, and that Lyme is not the only cause. I didn't used to believe in "autoimmune diseases," and I still don't in a way. However, I've been humbled, because I have so darned many myself.
Yes, I believe they are caused by the infections. But once there, it is more complicated than that, esp when one has permanent damage, as I do (of many decades standing). Plus, I apparently have the genes for autoimmune diseease
It's hard to believe I"m saying that, because for years I've gotten apopleptic over the blasted word and concept. Sigh.
I'm facing the same problem myself, but not lesions on the spine (I hope!), but a humoungous amount of lesions and plaque on the brain----with brain symptoms that are unendurable.
And I've been treating for many, many years, albeit not in the way I should have through no fault of my own. It's sobering to say the least.

PS I read the links. It's particularly the third scenario in the first link that I'm referring to. ANd that is likely way too many people!

I thought it was a simple question, not an inquiry into all possible scenarios. Maybe I misread.
Of course everything you write is correct. Once Lyme is chronic, the cascade of events can lead to many, many co-existing conditions.
These diagnoses are for our docs. All I can do on this board is offer information and support. I hope I'm not suggesting that Lyme is no big deal.
