So I bought a vitamin B complex pill the other day but after a week realized it has time
released calcium in it so I can't take it because I am on Doxy.
While researching I came across this:
"Action item: If you have any vitamin B-12 supplements, check the ingredients label right
now to see what form of vitamin B-12 they contain. If they contain cyanocobalamin, throw
them out!
Cyanocobalamin is a cheap, synthetic chemical made in a laboratory. It's virtually impossible
for you to find this form in nature. Low-end vitamin manufacturers use it because it can be
bought in bulk and added to products with claims that they "contain vitamin B-12!" What they don't
tell you is that the vitamin is bound to a toxic, poisonous cyanide molecule that must then be
removed from your body by your liver. Cyanocobalamin is also up to 100 times cheaper
than the higher quality methylcobalamin."
Of course mine has 2083% of Cyanocobalamin... Can anyone suggest a good vitamin B complex?

The B complex is I take is Vitamin Code, Raw B Complex.
But I also take Xymogen's Methyl Protect, because of its folate in the form better used by those with the MTHFR mutation.
And I also take Pure Encapsulations Vitamin B12 5000mcg per dose, a liquid that can be done sublingually. Vit B12 is tough to absorb from the digestive tract, for many.

It's not labeled as having calcium as part of it. This is a food-based supplement, not one chemically put together like that. Look at the ingredients, though (I'm sure iherb.com or vitacost.com will show them to you), and you'll see many foodbased items including greens and fruits.
If you're looking for total avoidance of calcium, then don't try this one. But if you're just trying to avoid something chemically put together with calcium, it should be fine.

I have just looked up the Vitamin B Raw Code product and the first review on Iherb is from a previous user who claims that it uses the cyanocobalamin form of B 12. I couldn't find any direct info either way.

The package does not say what cobalamin the B12 is. If you're concerned about it being toxic for you if it is cyano, perhaps ask the company or pass and go a different direction.
Either way, I would recommend trying to get your B12 from something sublingual. Normally these are separate items, not as part of a B complex.

I found a company called Thorne that makes one of my other supplements and they use the methylcobalamin instead. Thank you though
