Yes, RMSF is all over. What about bruising from babesia? It could also be from that.

I had the spontaneous bruising from babs, and also the occasional small 1/8" to 1/4" isolated red/purple spots (mostly on my forearms). They kind of looked like a blood blister, but not as raised. Sometimes they were in groups.
My guess to the red spots is babs, but I've been hitting bart since late October and seeing good improvements, and no new spots in a while.
Take pictures and note occurances in a log book. I label each photo by date and location.
