I started feeling nauseous yesterday afternoon. It progressed to being unbelievably bloated and gassy and burping and throwing up. Bad stomach pain. Can't keep food down.
What do you think? Probably food poisoning, right?

Either that, or the flu.
Do you have any charcoal capsule supplement?
My H got bad food and was pretty sick, I gave him charcoal, it helped immensely, cleared it up.

Take over the counter activated charcoal capsules, two at a time, a few hours apart.
If he has gastritis (stomach flu). oil of oregano drops will help clear it. You need to take them yourself as a preventative measure.

Parasites can cause this. They hibernate in the small intestine. I used to get projectile vomiting and diarrhea from the parasites I had. Check the symptom list at Humaworm. If it gets too severe go to the ER.

- Norovirus is also a consideration.
If food poisoning is a possibility, OTHERS need to be informed, too . . . the source, ect. so that others don't get ill. And the same for Norovirus (which can be spread on food, too).
I vote for activated charcoal capsules, too. Some people can't tolerate the "burn" of oregano but it is certainly a good choice. Maybe have some DGL on hand, too, to soothe the tissue.
Not so much what you can do to help now, but how to prevent and the agencies to alert or get more detail:

- Just thinking if any supplements might cause this.
Bee Pollen can mimic symptoms of food poisoning, if taken on an empty stomach (at least sure did for me). It took me twice to figure that out. -

- A friend recently attended a "folk" dance event that included a buffet set up by a local caterer. He did not eat there. Everyone else got ill and phone calls were flying around the next day amount members of that group. Norovirus, it was later determined - traced back to the buffet.
Talk to whomever you've been around the past couple of days, too. -
