My LLMD told me today that if I don't start improving soon we are going to try the IV antibiotics. Has anyone gotten reimbursement from insurance? I have BC/BS Thanks.

I had Blue Cross at the time and they covered the port. The antibiotics were harder to get covered.
My doc said it was all in how they coded the RX to the insurance. Sometimes it took hard work on my doctor's office to get approval, but they did it.
Hopefully yours will be able to assist you !

I've been doing IM bicillin-LA since orals weren't helping. This has made a big difference in progress, but insurance isn't covering it and I'm running out of money, so we're changing to IM rocephin.

My insurance covered my central line and pays for my supplies but will not pay for my IV drug. I pay out of pocket for that.

It depends on what drug you are put on. For example, Infuserve does Rocephin in kits where all supplies are sold for one price. I think it is going for $599 month. You can call for a quote.
Clindamycin can be done IV push so it is cheaper because it is loaded in a syringe and you can borrow a pump from Infuserve.
I also purchased some supplies from Infuserve but found others cheaper on the internet. I buy saline flushes, needles and change kits elsewhere.
Either way, once you know what abx you will be on and the dose, you can call Infuserve to get a price quote. If you decide to go local for your meds, you can tell them what Infuserve gave you for a price and they might match it.
