I'm so sorry. Don't know what kind of treatment you have had. When mine was finally diagnosed, 3 years after the bite and a year after lyme test was positive, I started treatment with low dose malarone (too low) for about 6 months. After switching to a more aggressive doc, got 3 more months of tx which consisted of mepron and zithromax, artemesinin at the end. This knocked it out and it was duncani which is supposedly harder to cure.
However, I have heard of others that need much longer treatment and have wondered why. Is it the person or the bug that makes the difference?

I did mepron and zith for 4 months, then malarone and tindamax for 3, then malarone, art and bactrim for another 9!!!! Still not gone. I hate taking all these drugs.

I'm with you on taking drugs. However, the alternative is not so good either.
Coartem? Lariam?

There is some crossover with babs and protomyxzoa, so it can be tough to distinguish them. So far, I don't know of anyone kicking proto, so many people just keep treating what they think is babs, when infact it could be proto (FL1953) which may explain why it never goes away.

I have a positive FSH so I know babs is still around--of course could also be proto.
