I have what appears to be some type of bite on my scalp. I vaguely remember feeling something on my scalp and scratching the area and feeling something come off with my nail but never found it.
There is now a red mark. I'm really insure what to do. I have not found any ticks around here lately since we had the yard treated. Do I assume it was a tick and take some doxy? I really worry about doing that as it has been over a year without antibiotics and I worry about stirring the pot, not to mention aggravating my gut.
I do have some doxy in the house.

Ugh... If you have a lot of ticks in your area, it may be wise to take the doxy.
So sorry you have to deal with this!!

I really don't think my stomach can handle it right now. I'm thinking if it was a tick it probably would have required a lot more than a scratch by my nail to dislodge it.

Let's hope so!! If you're in an endemic area, get a Rife machine! Then you'll have a stand-by.

Oh no Ellen!
Can you put some tea tree oil on it? It will stop any skin infection.
What about any immune modulators, like moducare. It will nourish your immune system.
I know what you mean about the guts and doxy.
Do you have someone to look at it for you to make sure there aren't any bug parts in you? Posts: 4358 | From British Columbia, Canada | Registered: Jun 2013

So sorry to hear this Ellen. Stephen Buhner recommends taking astragalus – 3,000 mg daily for 30 days, 1,000 mg daily thereafter, indefinitely - for new tick bites. Y
Below is his website for more information on other ways of supporting your system if you have been bitten.

Thanks everyone but I don't feel comfortable hitting my system with a lot for a "possible" tick bite. If I knew for sure I guess it would be different. Immune modulators always effect me negatively. My knee jerk reaction was to down the doxy but I know it probably wouldn't be in my best interest.
I try to remember I know so many people with tick bites who never contracted Lyme, if this even was one. I'm tending to think it wasn't by how easy it came off.
I will just monitor things for now, thanks!
