I am in stationed in Hawaii, but feel like I might need to travel to see an llmd. They are testing me here for lyme but the first test came back inconclusive and now they took more blood for another test which won't come back for 3 weeks.

I was considering traveling to Seattle to see a doctor. Do I need a positive lyme test before I see one? Would I get treated in the first visit?

And is there anything I can get at a supplement store right now to help me with this? I have vibrating in my head and feet. Extreme exhaustion, and anxiety sometimes and I am losing weight. Also I have earaches/tonsils/ and stiff neck. Thanks for any help

Personally, I would not wait 3 weeks for the test results.

If you are able to see an LLMD in Seattle, I would do so as early as you can.

Everything with lyme treatment is paid out of our own pockets (for the most part), so expect to pay for the visit.

If it were me, I would start on a curcumin, (the active ingredient in tumeric), supplement.

It helps reduce inflammations and is mildly antibacterial and antiviral.

It will help reduce the aches and pains and also may help reduce some of your other symptoms temporarily until you can see an LLMD.

My second choice, for me personally, would be freeze dried garlic capsules. They aren't for people with the sulfur mutations, or those with sulfur allergies though.

Also cryptolepsis tincture helps with bartonella which sometime causes the swollen lymphs, the anxiety and sore throat/swollen tonsils. It also helps kill babesia, which can cause exhaustion.

Cryptolepsis is one of my all time most helpful herbs.
That's just me personally, others will chime in soon.

Buhner "Healing Lyme" is a good beginner guide to herbs that help fight lyme. (Although he recommends everyone starts on antibiotics first to knock the worst of it down.)

Good luck,
Greta

"Stuck" in Hawaii?!

Whatever you decide, spend time outside. I find the beach VERY healing. I always felt better on the beach when I was sick. Walk barefoot (I see people walking the beach with shoes on??). Swim in the ocean ... the sal****er is like a big epsom salt bath.

Even though you might not have everything you need for treatment, at least take advantage of what you have.

Most Lyme docs will diagnose based on symptoms and the test suports their diagnosis so they will often start treating before the test results come back.

You don't need a positive test for treatment. Often people do not test positive until after they have been taking antibiotics. Lyme evades the immune system. You won't test positive unless you have antibodies and if your immune system is not responding to it, then the test results will be negative.

I sent you a PM. One way to test if you have it, is to do a trial run of doxycycline to see if you herx. A herx is caused from die off and you feel much worse.
