I have been suffering with vibrating head and feet as well as sore tonsils and headaches along with some other symptoms. Someone suggested garlic and curcumin.
I bought 1000mg garlic pills and 500mg curcumin. Does anyone have advice on dosage for these two? I took two garlic pills today and one curcumin with no adverse reaction. Any advice would be great, thanks.

What brands did you buy and what are the doseages?
Is the garlic freeze dried? Or is it Kyolic-type?

- Curcumin - I would start with Turmeric and work up to Curcumin.
If you have any gallbladder issues, start slow and low with turmeric. The stronger turmeric "extract" (which is called curcumin) can irritate a stressed gallbladder.
Start either in the middle of a good meal until you see how well your stomach takes to it, at least.
LymeNet Archives -- best to search in subject line.
Lots of good threads on both Turmeric and on Curcumin. Some brands are discussed. Be sure it's fresh and from reputable sources. Some turmeric / curcumin has been found to contain lead.
While you can certainly go to the web site for the place you bought it and look up their quality control practices and sourcing, you'd also want to find out from professionals in the field of herbal medicine what they prefer.
Some specific kinds of this can be better for babesia than others, too. Those won't be on shelves in any store. -

- Seeing that you can't find a LLMD where you are right now, be sure to connect with any lyme support group there -- a group whose leadership is "ILADS educated" for a start. You may find a LLMD through such a group or online through:
You would do well to find the best naturopathic physician there, asking about first to see if one might be lyme literate. Even if not, they will know the best sources for supplements and how to get you started to some degree.
I would avoid most store brands until you talk with a professional who is educated and experienced in this area (not store clerks).
In the Garlic / Allicin thread is a link for how to find an ILADS educated LL ND -- that thread also lists many books that include herbs -- and brand suggestions. -

- Garlic may not help with "vibrating head" right away (it can be stimulating and even raise tinnitus if that "vibrating" includes any ringing of the ears).
MAGNESIUM is essential to calming down that neuro overdrive:
Excitotoxins; MSG; Aspartame; & "Natural" Flavors (that are not really natural at all and can cause "vibrating" head). -

- ELECTRONICS & LIGHT AT NIGHT can also contribute to "Vibrating Head"
web search "sleep hygiene"
To be sure you get the best sleep you can, a dark room really matters -- and it's best to remove all electronic gadgets from your bedroom (or at least unplug TV / radio at the wall) and move cell phones out of the bedroom (or as far, far away as possible from the bed if you are on-call or such).
During the day, when possible if you are inside, keep your cell phone away from your body, even in the next room. Take breaks from computer, etc.
Qi Gong / Tai Chi can help calm "vibrating" nerve issue -- and Adrenal Support is also of help (starting with Cordyceps).
I know that "vibrating head" thing can be very rough so I hope some of these suggestions help. They all helped me.
If you have tinnitus as part of that, that's another area to learn about yet it often goes with lyme / TBD. In your line of work, be sure you have ear protection. At home, too, even when around household machines (vacuum, blender, hair dryer, etc.)
And, of course, I hope you find a truly LL doctor soon. Good luck. -
