Wow, I thought I was doing pretty good this week. It seemed to be a little easier, not as herxy.
However, I have been noticing some neuro stuff sneaking in but not as bad as it's been.
The past few days after finishing my flagyl for the week, I have had the worst nightmares! I even had a dream after the one last night, where I was telling someone about the nightmare!
Could it be a herx? I'm starting to think it may be.

I do tend to get nightmares and very lucid dreaming when I am sick or herxing. I think it is pretty common.

- Toxicity can be directly related, too. Good liver support can often help (but not so much too aggressive "detox" efforts - keep it calm & steady).
Also, be sure your oils are adequate - for the brain.
Be sure colon moves adequately. High fiber will help. Constipation can also contribute to nightmares.
Coconut oil, a spoonful every 8 hours is very helpful to the brain and can calm down excitability (which can include nightmares).
Still, some Rx can excite parts of the brain and bring on nightmares.
Some sleep meds can cause nightmares (and really then just defeat the intent as it's not good to just knock out, the quality of rest matters, too).
MAGNESIUM is also a wonderful helper to calm down over excited brain waves & help the liver, too. -

LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too.
MAGNESIUM links here, too . . . and also links explaining how some sleep meds stress the liver and what can be done about that.
Be sure your diet is MSG-free (and be aware that most "natural flavors" are really MSG by another term. MSG & other "excitotoxins" can cause sleep issues & nightmares, especially in those with lyme.
Excitotoxins; MSG; Aspartame; & "Natural" Flavors (that are not likely natural at all). -

Jenny-are you on low dose naltrexone? When I play with my doseage it tends to give me lucid dreams and nightmares.
Also, when babesia flares I get terrible nightmares.
It tends to happen on the same night every week...the dreaded Thursdays...lol.
Maybe it is a coinfection flaring? Greta

I am going to try the magnesium. It was tough week. A lot of neuro stuff this week...
Started with nightmares, went to inability to spell every word (had to retype each one 5x)couldn't remember the womans name next to me, she was one of my best friends. Stuttering bad, involuntary sudden arm movements, anxiety, and hopeless thoughts. UGH
I did sweat good in a detox bath..which made me pretty sure it was a lot of herxing.
I am on LDN, though I have been at 4.5 for the past 4months. Def. had weird vibrant dreams when I started and when I increased my dose. But that was a while ago.
I don't know what I have for coinfections, b/c they all tested neg? But I don't really believe that.
