- Supermoon On August 10 Will Be Biggest Of 2014
There's going to be an extra-special moon this weekend.
On Aug. 10, when the moon turns full at 2:10 p.m. EDT, skywatchers will be treated to the sight of a so-called "supermoon" -- and it will be the largest supermoon of the year.
The phenomenon -- any full moon that coincides with the time in the moon's orbit when it's closest to Earth -- should be visible on Sunday night after sunset.
Head over to the U.S. Naval Observatory's website to check local times for the supermoon in your area.
How spectacular will this supermoon be?
In comparison to other full moons, supermoons can be up to 14 percent closer and 30 percent brighter, according to NASA. In addition, the August 2014 supermoon will become full during the same hour that the moon comes closest to the Earth (lunar perigee), meaning it will outshine other full moons that have fallen on the same day as the lunar perigee.
Send us your supermoon photos this weekend!
You can tweet your photos with hashtag #HuffPostSupermoon. Or, you can submit them directly to our "Supermoon 2014" slideshow, which will be featured in our supermoon live blog on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 10.
We'll be collecting user photos from all over, and yours may be featured!
The August supermoon may also pair nicely with the Perseid meteor shower, which should be visible this weekend when Earth passes through the debris zone left by Comet Swift–Tuttle. The Perseids, which may offer skywatchers a view of 100 shooting stars per hour, will peak between Aug. 10 and Aug. 13.
This year was an exceptional one for supermoons, with three appearing in a row --one each in July, August and September. The next supermoon will fall on September 9, 2014.

They do love milk and cheese but if you eat/drink them on a regular basis, the worms will just wait for the meal without the meds/herbs (they are smart). Also, you only need a very small amount with your meds/herbs.

Did anyone get to see the moon last night, or early am today?
I think it was the biggest one I ever seen.
Not sure if it's this big full moon but, the past three days have been really, really bad!

Lp, I vaguely remember what you're talking about. I think it's in the parasite thread somewhere.
Parasites procreate during the full moon. They are still partying afterwards though (I expel worms the week after too).
A very small amount of dairy or something sweet works for me along with the herbs.
Have fun at your yard sale!

Payne, it is no wonder your digestive tract is a mess. Flagyl on an empty stomach? "Gallons" of milk?? ay ay ay.
Most with Lyme cannot handle dairy or gluten.

Nope, can't handle gluten or dairy, and honestly don't miss it one bit. Well, I do miss whey protein isolate in bars.
Anywho, I do herb protocols over most of the full moons every month. Right now a combo of GSE, berberine, black walnut, artemisia.
What I find ironic is tho I have a rather slow social life (and I like it that way) it seems every event I'm required to be at and enjoy myself (lol) falls at full moon time!
I always feel better right after the full moon. It's the build up 3-4 days beforehand that's difficult: poor sleep, etc.
But: getting easier!

That's a good website Steve. I've also heard people say Babesia flares with a full moon.
Yeah, I dunno, just know it's a real thing- doing what I can to keep treating it, but it gets pretty tiring.

Consider Glycox.
It looks to inhibit L-forms (CWD forms) which I think are impacted by...
Barometric pressure changes as well as osmotic pressure changes.
Bb loves to go into a CWD form (L-form) to "escape".
"On the other hand, he said, "barometric pressure changes during a high tide and full moon definitely affect pregnant women. A lot of hospitals see early deliveries during that time."
