Hi everyone,

I just received a bottle of MinRex (by Xymogen), which has an odd, strong sour/acidic smell.

I've previously used MinRex but don't remember this smell.

I'm based in Europe and getting Xymogen products shipped from the US takes forever for me.

I really need to use the bottle (as I'm low in several minerals), but I'm not sure if I received a faulty batch?

I called Xymogen's customer service and they promised to get back to me, but haven't so far ...

To cut a long story short: If there are any MinRex users out there, can you tell me if this smell is okay?

Thanks!

I appreciate all your replies. If it takes me a while to respond, it is either because I'm too sick or because I am unable to log in. From European servers, Lymenet is very frequently inaccessible for days at a time ...

Mine doesn't smell at all, but it has been open for a while. I think they all smell strong when you first open them though (not sure if this is your sour acidic smell though, can't remember).

Thanks for the help,Catgirl. Sorry for the late response. I've been having problems accessing the site ....

Yes, you're right: They all smell strong when you open them. Currently, the smell isn't as strong as when I first opened it.

Think I'll take it. The Xymogen people still haven't gotten back to me ...
