Are you having muscle spasms due to an injury?
Look into using PEMF, pulsed magnetic therapy, to relieve spasms and speed healing. The SOTA Magnetic Pulser is very good for this.

Not muscle spasms - it's as if I got into a car accident and I can't turn my head at al. Unrelenting pain that keeps me up and unable to sleep.

Do you have a rife machine? Rifing "muscles-to-relax" can ready help with easing tight muscles.

Yeah...that is a common lyme system
Flexeril and skelaxin are muscle relaxants i have used
I used to love flexeril cuz it helped the pain si much. It also put me in deep sleep.
Then i had an incident where i used it and three days later i "woke up" and chic ouldnt remember anything. And i had been walking abd driving and interacting...it scarrd the hell out of me
I use skelaxin
It helps spasms a lot-anywhere in body. Doesnt put me to sleep(but be careful we are as ll differnt)
Also when spasms are a problem make sure you take enough magnesium, potassium and calcium
Mag is real important

I remember when I first took Natural Calm Mg powder, all my muscles relaxed, including the tight neck muscles.

- Muscle relaxers can really boomerang big time. Sure did for me, many years ago in, oh, so many terrible ways. Some are ototoxic, some rip up the gut and some can just daze the daylights out of the day.
Also be certain that any one you take is 100% - totally, absolutely free of acetaminophen. Many have that in it and it's very bad for every cell of the body and the liver, too.
Ditto to Robin's post.
Magnesium is THE best agent to help muscles relax. Also good for night time (as they are both a bit sedating) Scullcap herbal tincture (only tincture form works with this herb) -- and holy basil (Tulsi), too.
The physical methods Carol in PA mentions are very good, as would be massage by someone very much LL.
Rife, as MannaMe suggests is also very helpful if you happen to have a rife machine or access to one.
St. John's wort - to help address nerve fibers can be good, too. Read up on the form / dose for that use. -

- For a start to basic research, St. John's Wort is mentioned here:

Keebler, is the holy basil okay to take in the capsule vs tincture form? I cannot tolerate any alcohol at all.
thanks

- yes. Holy Basil, dry herb is equal to tincture for effectiveness. There is also tulsi tea, but I think it tastes awful so it would not be for the delight of it, rather the effect.
Scullcap, which I noted is only effective in tincture likely comes in a glycerine tincture, too. It's amazing for sleep (yet no hangover as with valerian) & I think stronger - still gentle enough for children) to address pain issues better than Tulsi (for me). Check out Herb Pharm. -

- Herb Pharm is in many health markets / groceries . . . many vendors such as VitaCost and iHerb, too. Their direct site:
Scullcap . . . St. John's Wort . . . etc. -

- Scullcap and St. John's Wort here, but also search "pain" -- One excellent basic reference source whose authors have graciously included a search feature at their site, although having the actual book at home is really helpful, too.

- It may not feel like muscle spasms that may pulse but it sure sounds like it, though mostly in the constriction part of the process - like a spasm stuck in the tighten and don't let up mode. -

I sleep on a heating pad that's homemade. It goes right under my neck.
It helps keep my neck relaxed and prevents me from clenching my teeth (TMJ problems)
Here's a way to make an easy one with just a sock and rice, but when I tried it, the grains went through the sock (you need a really tight weave for this to work).
