I am currently on triple antibiotic therapy by mouth. I have been diagnosed with lyme, bartonella, and recurring mono. If I miss my antibiotics by about six hours my joint and muscle pain comes back to remind me of what things were like before treatment started. My lld said he has never heard of antibiotics taking pain away and that it is usually the opposite. I know I have lyme based on one if those none negotiable bands. I know I have recurring mono. The bartonella diagnosis is purely clinical. Is it possible I have something else? Has anyone else experienced an almost immediate increase in symptoms when failing to take antibiotics for about five to six hours? Thanks.

Also my mycoplasma and inflammation are high. I have only been treating four months and never experienced any serious herx, although I was on antibiotic, two doses of amox a day, for two months prior to starting lyme treatment.

Yes, this happens to me. Every 12 hours I take my bart meds.

If I am late with the dose the head pain ramps up exponentially.

I suspect my abx is bacteriostatic against a fast grower, OR I need a higher dose to increase plasma levels.

When things get half-life, plasma concentration etc I get all balled up.

Can't wrap my head around it.
