we got a new dining room rug. our table is very heavy solid oak. I told him I couldn't liftmy end but he persisted. I was only able to move it a bout two feet.

I felt something give in my neck. now this happened weeks ago.

I am having dizzy spells, have fallen twice, and am getting severe headaches.

the pain is at the base of my skull, goes down to right shoulder blade. also if you touch aroumd my shoulder it is very sore.

my right arm stays slightly numb.

the head pain is the worst. walking and driving hurt. sleeping is difficult.

I have done something but dont know what. will make dr appt on monday.

I've looked up trapezius muscle or disc. all I know is that it really hurts.

dumb...moving anything that heavy was stupid.

any ideas?

Get some ReMag magnesium .. while waiting for the shipment, up any magnesium that you have.

I did that nearly 4 yrs ago and I'm finally better once I found the ReMag .. but it was a rough 2-3 yrs for sure.

I did PT several times, TENS unit (didn't help that much), etc... Same thing .. I lifted with hubby though he did not insist.

I was just stupid enough to try it .. Lifted for only a few seconds and paid for years. I lifted and told him I couldn't do it.

I sure hope you get some help and that it will resolve more quickly than mine did.

Get PT as soon as possible.... and an MRI.

www.rnareset.com ReMag .. and get the ReLyte while you're at it.

Make the person who insisted you injure yourself pay for the massage therapist appointments.

You might compile a list of neighbors, or their kids, etc. so that the next time there is someone better able to do heavy lifting.

You are not alone in this situation. At some point in time, everyone has to ask for help. And if you are that person who is asked and it's not wise, pull out that list.

Beyond neighbors, neighborhood associations, religious congregations, other organizations or gyms where you are known.

Maybe get a few gift cards to area grocers or markets to hand out for such favors. The time is upon us to delegate, arrange and manage tasks, not do the heavy lifting.

Not too much at once, magnesium max 500 mg each time - three to four x a day (for a total of no more than 2,000 mg a day).

The kidneys can't take too much at one time and it does not stay in the body very long, that's why divided doses for magnesium (and many minerals / nutrients).

of course, the kind of magnesium also determines your dose. Some forms move the colon, some do not (or not so much).

Sometimes a chiro is faster and can pop things back in. Good ones can be way better than medical. Als if mag doesnt work sometimes one dose of muscle relaxant will breal the cycle

But if you have bones out of place that needs to be fixed before you get better

But if you have a bulging disc, a chiro could be "deadly."

If your right arm stays slightly numb, you likely have a pinched nerve in your neck.

This has to be taken care of. If you let it go on too long, you could have permanent nerve damage, meaning that even when the pinched nerve is fixed, you won't have normal feeling in the arm. You could have permanent pain, feeling of fire, etc.

So, please get some help for this. An orthopedic surgeon, for example. And, for the spinal column, it is best to get a neurosurgeon if surgery is required.

If it is a bulging disc (sound like it likely is), they will tell you to try PT or else go right to a steroid injection. So, be prepared to decide if you will take the injection or not.
