Since I started rifampin at 600mg/day a week ago, I have had herx-like symptoms every other day, without fail. That is, I had a horrid headache, fatigue, nausea, etc on Tues, Thurs, and Sat, and felt awesome on the other days.

I think the med is working because I have seen an increase in bart symptoms in particular (shooting pains, foot pain, and crazy rashes/spider veins seem to be primary symptoms).

I am wondering if the every-other-day headache is a herx, despite doing the same things every day for detox. Any thoughts?

Please let me know what gives fast relief for herx headaches (if that's what these are).

Thanks.

For me, cannabis erased almost all of my herxing. I am not telling you to go out and buy weed, but if you are experienced... It's the only thing that touched my symptoms, along with A LOT of lemon water. Sometimes I'd just suck on a lemon. Lemons are good for fast relief.

Sounds like you are hitting Bart. That one really sucks. You will get through it though. It will probably mellow out after a week or so. No promises, but I've always found that Bart flares are AWFUl and strong, and then they gradually dissipate. But Bart is the infection for me that will not go away. I've been suppressing it with herbs, but it is still there.

Yes, while you are treating, make lemon water your only drink. Squeeze fresh lemons into water. Lemons are the natural cleansers of the body, and water flushes everything out.

People are amazed at how well this works. It detoxifies you, and that's what you need when you are killing germs. So, detoxify all day long by drinking lemon water.

I believe that is why I did so well during treatment. On the bad days, add Alka Seltzer Gold (no aluminum in that one) with lemon squeezed into it. The great Dr. H. says:

For Herxheimer reactions: 2 Alka-Seltzer Gold (no aluminum) in 8 ounces of water with lemon or lime followed by 6-8 capsules of glutathione or 1500 mg of oral liposomal glutathione.

70% will feel better in hours

On the topic of water: Dilution is the solution to pollution. This suggests that in order to help our bodies detoxify, we must drink more water
