I just received a portion of my lab results from quest and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. My doctor had me do a bunch of different tests to see the full picture.
Seeing all these positives and high levels has me running circles in my own head. Can anyone help me interpret these a little?
HERPESVIRUS 6 ANTIBODIES [IGG,IGM] IGG <1:20 H IGM <1:20 Interpretation: Past infection Range: IGG <1:10 IGM <1:20
CANDIDA ALBICANS AB [IGG,IGA,IGM] IGG 1.0 H IGA <0.1 IGM 1.4 H REFERENCE RANGE: <1.0
ANA IFA SCREEN W/REFL TO TITER AND PATTERN, IFA IFA Screen: Positive Pattern: Homogeneous Titer: 1:160 H Reference Range: <1:40 Negative 1:40-1:80 Low Antibody Level >1:80 Elevated Antibody Level
I'm sorry its a lot... I would really just appreciate the tiniest on in sight on this. Thank you so much!

Re Lyme antibodies, you've reacted to Lyme-specific antibody bands, so you have a positive Lyme result. You can post in Seeking for referrals to Lyme-treating doctors.
At the top of Medical Questions, there's a sticky, Important Information about Lyme and Co-infections, which you can read through. Just know that we're all different in presentation and response to treatment, and the trick is to find what we each respond to.
Re your MTHFR methylation result, I think what it's saying is you've received a gene defect from one of your parents. That's called heterozygous, as compared to homozygous, meaning both. Meaning that pathway is partially blocked.
You can google a map of the methylation cycles online. You will see four interlocking cycles. The missing one is in the 2nd just preceding the 3rd cycle, I think.
What happens next is a doctor who understands methylation lets you know what supplement(s) to take to boost the cycle so you can methylate better, ie detox better.
Also, what kind of methylation test did you take? The saliva test one through the 23andme company tests for at least 50 methylation genes. I think for methylation treatment to make any sense, it's best to get complete methylation gene testing done.

Basically, you have a bunch of infections (including Lyme), a lot of autoimmune things going on (including an autoimmune attack on your thyroid), the MTHFR gene mutation, and possibly POTS (low vasopressin).
There's a lot to be said here; I'm sure your doc will go into the details with you. Just try not to worry in the meantime!! (: This is all fixable.
