Has anyone with MTHFR tried the LDN?

What was your experience with it?

Did it help with pain?

How long did you try it? And what did you notice - was it adverse effects or it just did nothing?

What did your mom and sister see as far as improvements?

My hubby is the one with Lyme & Babesia. His worst symptoms are fatigue, muscle pain, tipsy, and lately he is winded very easily. (air hunger?)

The muscle pain is worse lately. And the lorazepam is causing havoc. If only he could get off of it.

Which medications do you have to avoid if you use LDN?

I am actually still on it. I do not have any adverse effects. I stay on it because my mom has m.s. and I hope think LDN is so good for M.S. that i use it more as a preventative. I may go off it though if I can get over lyme.

My mom has stabilized. She no longer has odd and scary flare ups. It didn't cure her, but she had M.S. a long time before she started Ldn. I assume she has nerve damage that is permanent. She can barely walk.

My sister started out with odd sensations down her arms and thighs. She began to get a frightening weakness in her arm, and her legs would tire.

After a year on LDN, most of this went away and she got her energy back and most of the odd sensations went away. It was a miracle pill for her! She also seems to have stabilized.

She tested negative for Lyme, but we don't know if she has M.S. for sure either.

How is your husband treating his infections? He should be seeing a good lyme Dr that will combine multiple antibiotics/malarials and be rotating them constantly and pretty fast... like every one to two months.

Babesia can be a REAL killer. can cause anxiety and the tippy feelings he has for sure. (and possibly even muscle pain) It can be SUPER tough to kill.

It has taken me MANY antimalarials at once in different combinations to get anywhere.

Do be careful with the Lorazepam. My dad became addicted to it and can no longer get off them.

tryptophan, l-theanine, gaba and magnesium taken together could possibly help calm him down.

For muscle pain you could try high doses of curcumin. It can work almost as well as Ibuprofin and it would help his babesia infection too.
