Parasites are a perpetual concern. Taking the artemesinin away from antioxidants might be a challenge though. Does anyone know how much taking antioxidants near artemesinin lowers its effectiveness? Thanks, GVS

- As it's anti-protozoa, it is "required" to never, ever, take it alone. Even if you might not have babesia or think it's been dealt with, it's never a good idea to take any agent alone that affects babesia / malaria. Other parasitic infections that could be protozoa might also require combination treatment at all times. Anti-protozoa agents need to be in combination so infections don't become resistant and more powerful / harder to treat. Combinations should also be switched around frequently. -

Artemisinin, like most (all?) antimalarials, kills cells via oxidation. I'm not sure why you'd want to take antioxidants with it. It's normally pulsed, as your body will build up a resistance to it. At higher doses it's ototoxic, so be careful.

I would just use more common herbs for the parasites.. probably more effective also. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!
