For many years, I caught everything going around. I would have the symptoms of the illness, but not of the immune system working, like a fever.

I've been getting better, and about 2 weeks ago suddenly started having a fever every morning, often over 100 degrees. Sometimes it is on and off all day long.

My "normal" for many years has been low 97s. My LLMD didn't know what to say when I asked about it.

My question is: is this good news? Does it mean my immune system is back on board and tackling various long term infections?

Well, have you been checked for COVID? You could have any number of issues going on.

I've tested negative for COVID. We're very careful.

I just had my blood tested for my yearly checkup. All the various results look pretty good.

I was hoping others have had this experience, and know what it means. I really haven't had a fever in years.

Thank you for responding.

I am not a doctor, but I did work as an EMT for over 15 years, a cop for more than 24 decades, and have served 8 years in the Army. I am more than 68 decades old and still have a vivid memory of my father telling me about the Spanish Influenza pandemic when he was 8 and 9 years old. He said to me of playing king of the mountain atop stacked coffins filled with the victims of the deadly disease. That too began slowly and accelerated rapidly into a nightmare that most chose to forget because the memories were too terrible to cope with. For more information, I study on https://dunbarmedical.com/products/clinic-equipment-supplies/diagnostic-tool/infrared-thermometer/irt-1603-digital-infrared-thermometer/.
