Hello, My husband tested positive thru Igenex a few months back for Lyme... I have it as well so do my kids. He has been Taking Biaxin XL for the last 2 months he is someone who has very little symptoms to start some knee pain, shoulder pain, TMJ and Brain Fog...So he was one of those kind of in Denial i guess you would say. So he went back to Doctor she retested him for everything this time using MDL and he came back with one band positive IGG and one band positive IGM and said not infectious state at this point. So i am concerned ....Can someone that has very little symptoms really get over it that quick or was the lab results not current due to the Biaxin taken. I am worried that he will be off of meds in no time and reinfect me and i have Lyme Bad. Our doctor is a good LLMD so what do you all think is MDL a reputable lab? Do they grow their bacteria or what? Thanks, Robin

From what I've read, MDL is a good lab. They test for antibodies to Bb.

I believe that you are thinking about Bowen Lab as they are actually checking for the bacteria itself.

"some knee pain, shoulder pain, TMJ and Brain Fog"
Sounds like quite a few (symptoms) to me to be dealing with.

"and said not infectious state at this point."

OH REALLY, who says? I don't believe it.

You can only pass it back and forth is you do not use protection...I'd highly suggest that you guys consider it.

Yes, I used MDL which showed nothing. I used the first LUAT test from Igenex which showed I had lyme in 2000. I was bitten in 1994 and very ill. They thought I had MS, etc. White spots on my MRI.

I had the PCR test done from Igenex which showed lyme again. Get yourself the Western Blot only from Igenex which is not expensive. But the only test we use is Bowen Research Lab in FL. We heard about them from an LLMD and have been using this lab for 4 years. They count the amount of lyme in your blood and you know if your count comes down that your meds are working.

Also, they show you pictures of what is in your blood. I had the co-infections of HME, HGE and babesia. No other test showed me this. I have now gotten rid of the co-infections after medication. You can do the same when you know what you are dealing with. The test costs $250 which is a donation to Bowen since they are a 501(C)(3) organization. Ask for a donation slip so you can take the amount off of your taxes.

Also go to www.lymediseaseinformation.com to see the Pfizer pamplet showing the pictures of co-infections in the blood. Also, go to www.bowen.org and have your doctor get the test kit for you and your husband.

Much wellness to you. :

I'm very concerned your husband's insidious infection has lulled him & the doctor into a false & dangerous sense of security.

Please, please, ask for an Igenex WB $180 or Bowen $250.

Brain fog means it's gone to the brain. It is so hard to get ABX into the brain. I know firsthand!

My LLMD, Dr. H., in Houston closed his practice. He had me do 14 days of Zithromax & then tested with IGENEX lab. This elicited a positive test.

A year earlier without ABX pre-test, my test returned negative from a regular DOCTOR.

That LLMD needs to intervene----if I may bluntly say so.

Remember, he will be the one who could eventually lose his job over his health----------not the LLMD.

And if he eventually needs disability, he'll have to fight tooth & nail to get it -----all while he's too sick to file for it.

Take Care,
Jan

Thanks for sending this to the top and thanks for all your responses. WEll My hubby is doing much better but he hardly complained of anything to begin with. WE are seeing Dr S in Houston as Dr H is now gone and i will be seeing her on Tues and ask her more about this becuz since he was on antibiotics when testing i am wondering if that is why he got a much better result. Hopefully, he's just better i have heard of that happening with Men but i know it's rare. Thanks again, Robin
