Sorry memory isnt working so good....

Someone said that peppermint could relieve pain and that it was like taking tylenol....

1.I wanted to know what form pepperment to use

2. How much of that kind of pepermint is equal to how much tylenol.

also does it have acetemenphin (sp?) in it or does it just work like it?

Thank You soooooooooooooo much

Best wishes

It was me, buft the idea came from LymeinHell ( julie)
from Nj. She was not lying when she said this would help.

I looked it up in my herbal book before using it and it said "research has proven that peppermint oil is as effective as 1000 mg acetaminophen, or two 500 mg tylenol capsules"

Make no lie that I have not used a pain killer since using peppermint oil and my live in has not touched his beloved "BC powder" and the headache is GONE within seconds.

I got my peppermint oil ( pure extract) for 5.00 on sale from 9.00. Its just a very very small bottle, but it does work.

The cautions are using too much can cause cardiac arrythmias. That I didnt know until I read my herbal book, but it does work.

Warning: Dont put it on your eyelids. My eyes watered for an hour.

Hi!

I was going to say that I wrote it. But I didn't write as much about it, so likely it was someone else.

I wrote that York Peppermint patties make me feel better, and that a doctor had told me that the peppermint and chocolate combined had analgesic, pain-reducing properties.

However, this doctor told me it was the COMBINATION of the chocolate and the peppermint. That's why he approved of chocolate covered mints more than straight helpings of either.

I had not heard all that info about peppermint oil, though!

Incidentally, I'm fascinated that you shouldn't get peppermint in your eyes or they water --- whenever I accidentally rub my eyes with Peppermint Patty on them, my eyes "react" - water, tear, itch, etc. I never understood it. Thank you for that pearl of info!

I find York Pepp. patties (the little ones) especially helpful: they are low fat. (If not low in sugar! LOL!)

But I am not saying all this because I own stock in them, or anything!

Wishing less pain to everyone.
Thank you for this terrific info!

I mentioned using pepperment oil on my forehead and temples for migraines a recently in a post. It does really help.

Thanks to lymealiveandkicking for really giving us some great info that I wasn't aware of!
