The dentist took an x-ray and saw nothing, and the tooth is not heat or cold sensitive, nor did it react to pressure at the dentist office. He felt it was a result of the possible clenching/or grinding of the teeth, but told me to come back if it continued.

After reading about the problems others have had, I hesitate to let him do any exploring. Also, I am leaving on vacation tomorrow night, and will be gone for ten days.

Any advice from any one who had had something similar? I have been eating by chewing only on the opposite side, which is quite annoying, but the jaw will often be sore on the bad side anyway, I suppose just from the motion of chewing. It is not sharp pain, just an ache that goes from the tooth to the jaw.

If you know of a dentist in Northern California familiar with lyme induced dental problems, please let me know. I will be out of computer range after tomorrow night, but will check for answers when I return.

Right now I am only doing the bicillin injections, which may or maynot be related. Also any temporary remedies anyone might know to use if it gets worse while traveling would be great.

Perhaps you can get one of those (I don't know the word for it) plastic/rubber mouth-guards (to sleep with) that people use for helping them not to grind their teeth.

See if that works first before you have any major work done or anything.

A nightguard will help. I have lots of sensitivity in my teeth since being on abx & Mepron. My teeth feel worse when I forget to wear my nightguard.
