I have had LD abt 30 yrs, and bone pain almost as long. I have had pain in my right tibia for as long as I can remember, and of course no one has known why.

The bone feels spongy and 2 yrs ago I developed discoloration on my skin over the most painful area.

3 weeks ago the discoloration increased in size and pain. Then something interesting happened...The pain and discoloration has started to decrease with abx use.

If I am too active for my leg the pain will flair, but it calms down with my next abx infusion.

I have mentioned this to my LLMD and showed my leg to my ND, both agree LLMd should observe this. I have an appt next week.

Anyone else have this kind of experience?

Oh,yes,I had bone pain in my legs.

I would heat my bean bed buddy in the microwave and rest it on my legs to get some comfort.

In time this deep pain went away and I hope it will for you.

I also had to resort to some pain meds.

I hope your pain will go away, time and continued treatment will help.

Thanks 3greatkids:

I do have microwavable heat packs, but have been afraid the concentrated heat might flair the pain...I'll test it out...I know when I am still and really warm the pain decreases.

But sometimes exercise makes me feel better. I do wish this disease had better rules!

Thanks for the idea

Pretty sure Bextra helps bone pain. My friend who had bone cancer was taking that at one time. You might as the LLMD about it.

Hope your feeling better soon!

Had severe bone pain.........mostly legs.
Pain greatly lessened after treatment for mercury toxicity.
