If it wasn't for having to take pills and supplemments according to a sometimes complicated schedule, with and without food, I might be tempted to stay in bed all day. So, you got some sympathy on your problem. However, I don't have any idea whether these two drugs have some bad interaction. Seems like there might be some med lit on the subject because art is being used in antimalarials by mainstreamers. Why are you taking these two together? Have mostly heard of antimalarials being taken with macrolides, or in a few cases septra/bactrim.

It is just something I have noticed a few times in the past when dealing with a little malaria. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed it or if it was more than just a curious interaction or side effect.
The malaria probably needs a little maintenance now and then though, as I think it has some persistance.
I guess I could try search and see if it is working today.
I seem to recall some people talking about a single capsule knocking them flat, while in one case I took 14 in a single day folling a WHO published dosing schedule with no side effect at all.

I did a quick search on pubmed and came up with 900+ entries for artemisinin, but 0 for art and penicillin.
Noticed that art is being used in these studies in combination with another antimalarial, including mepron and others.

Hi James. Nope, hasn't happened for me, knock on wood. I've taken art and samento in the am, then the bicillin (IM) an hour or two later, no noticible changes. I take art/samento on an empty stomach, but all my oral abx with food (unless specifically directed otherwise). So it's always a couple of hours between the two.
I look forward to the time I can eat and drink and not think about pills and yeast and whatnot. In case no one noticed, LD/Co is an epic pain in the butt.
