The severe, expensive problems that can happen with Lyme and Diabetes patients... What is the best ins co for Lyme and what is the best ins co for diabetes?
What ins co just pays for Lyme IV without question?
What ins co doesn't drop a Diabetic and pays for everything?
Have any of you looked into self (can a business be faked) employed ins? Are any in a high risk pool, COBRA, HIPPA and how does that work out? How do individual policies work out?

1. Commit a crime and go to jail. It is considered cruel and unusual punishment to deny convicted criminals medically necessary care. This came about because of inmate outbreaks of AIDS, Hep, &TB. A few prison systems were dumping TB and Hep B ect. "undiagnosed" but infected inmates in emergency rooms. In one state, residents and emergency room physicians ended up testing positive with TB. Prison guards also started testing positive and needed to be treated. I am not sure if the physicians and guards sued. As a result of this and other infectious disease outbreaks, the court ruled that it is cruel and unusual punishment to deny prisoners access to medically necessary care, so, in many states, prisoners will be diagnosed and treated before those of us who pay for health insurance (health insurer take on infectious disease-if it is not diagnosed, then insurers don't have to pay for treatment).
2. In my state, Medicaid patients have much better access to prescription drugs than people with with overpriced employer or individual health insurance policies. NOTE: states vary, and, Medicaid is being cut by the feds, so this may change.
