In another post you said you could see why levaquin would cause psychological symptoms in some.

Can you tell me more? I couldn't tolerate it more than 2 weeks because I became extremely manic.

I've never tested positive for bartonella. I was using it to treat lyme. I've never tested positive for babesia either, but I suspect I have it.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on levaquin?

I am not a medical professional...but,

1_Quinolones have shown that they can stimulate the CNS, ie: cats claw (natural levaquin/cipro)
....free2reckon and myself both had this happen
2-Bartonella is known for its effects on the mind...and, the rages it can cause...so when herxing from this...why not mania?
I had it.

That's about it....good luck.

Trout

up for Dolphin Lady. I told Trout about your post last night and he asked me to respond. I suppose he stopped his packing and came on to respond. He's such a nice guy!

Well I had no doubt that Troutscout was a nice guy, but this more than confirms it.

Troutscout, just for the record, you are terrific!

And Lymetoo, don't think you get off so easy. As far as I'm concerned, you're an angel.

Thank you both from the bottom of my heart. I'm struggling with suicidal depression on bicillin, not typical from what I've heard. And I'm trying to figure out what is going on with me. Manic with levaquin, depressed and raging with bicillin.

The CNS involvement explains alot. My llmd believes a lot of the infection is there.

Anyhow, I see him Friday, sooner than originally planned, to either get help witht he bicillin, or switch out.

BTW, xanax is helping alot in the meantime.

Thanks again.

Have you tried something to bring down the intercranial swelling?

go to www.myremedi.com Dr Scott Taylors website...he offers Lypronil...made from the green muscles from New Zealand.

I am sure you have heard of the Mangosteen Juice already...but, any hoo...I have lost my depresssion since being on it...also, I have no less than 5 people with prior depression taking it currently with good results.

I saw that Dr C has a new anti-inflammatory also....call his office.

tell them that Kent "troutscout" sent you.
