Finally my rib pain stopped last week after 8 months of torture. I'm thrilled to be rid of it but after just one pain free day a new torture began.

This time is is horrible pain in my low back and buttock on the right side.

I thought it my be sciatica but I'm not sure. It hurts when I stand up and is worst when I walk which I can only do slowly now.

It does not hurt when I lay down so I'm sleeping fine. It does not hurt too much when I sit but when I get up I can't really stand up straight. I am able to stretch all different ways without any pain. The only thing that really hurt is trying to stand up straight (without my butt sticking out).

I went to the chiropractor several times last week. I had a long massage to loosen up the mucles in by butt & legs but the relief was very brief.

There were a few hours when the pain stopped but then it came back. I'm assuming this is another Lyme symptom.

Sometimes my knees hurt briefly (definitely Lyme symptom) and I get occaisional tingling in my leg when I walk (this has been happening all year).

It this a Lyme symptom. Did you have it? How long did it last? Did anything help?

hats,

yes, I have this problem too but it's my left thigh sciatic that is the worst for me!

Had a complete body massage yesterday to help it; been having monthly ones!

It's been awful for quite some time too so to me; it's a lyme herx also. Best wishes.

I used my 3M frozen ice packs on my thigh, lower back, neck/shoulder, and upper right shoulder area...helps to numb my pain.

This topic comes up so often here, I'm tempted to think it is a lyme symptom, or at least is exacerbated by lyme.

However, mine is clearly caused by a ruptured disk. Had I heeded the warning signs and NOT assumed it was lyme, and taken compensatory measures in my activities and movements, I might have been spared back surgery two years ago. This L4-L5 disk repair failed a year ago while doing physical therapy exercises.

Your chiro should be able to advise you if it's sciatica, and what to do to keep it from getting more serious.

Good luck,

Sue

Yes, I agree. It could be lyme, but it should be checked out just in case it is something the requires other treatment.

Could also be your hip....or both. I used to have really bad sciatica...before Xango came along. Now it only flares up when I do something stupid!

All I can say is the pain can be really intense. What's strange is that the pain would radiate down to my foot and the pain in the foot was actually worse than the pain in my lower back or butt. [also had pain down the leg, of course]

You might try accupuncture. It would help me get out of the really severe pain, but the pain would come back in a day or so.
