Well after austin being off meds for two days for bad herx. Dr J said to start him back up with just the zithromax and 1 IV dose of the Claforan. Well the first day which was monday. It was about 3pm when he took the zithromax. Around 5 he started having bad pains in his hand. Then the pain moved to his shoulder.

Tuesday he started having the pains in his chest in intervals. He would have them for about 1 to 2 mins then they stopped for awhile. Then around 3pm they started again but this time lasted longer. So I called Dr J they faxed over a script for him to have his PICC Line evaluated. I took him to the local hospital so they could do a chest xray.

They checked the PICC site and found no infection and the chest xray came back with no infections and the line intact and the ekg was normal. He did have the pains again while we were there but they of course did not know why the pains were happening.

I mentioned to the ER doc that Dr J wanted the results faxed to him right away and also wanted to talk to whoever evaluated him. Well the ER doc said to me this dr is in CT. I said he is the Dr that is treating him for his Lyme so he said well he can call in the morning and get the results from radiology. Ignorent doc.

Well wednesday austin was doing fine until later in the earlier eve. His knee was acting up but with no pains he was walking really funny. Then his ankle started doing it but with out pain. Later on he ended up with really bad abd pain due to constipation he finally was able to go and then after the first time he had the runs 3 to 4 times after and then was fine.

This disease sucks and I hate what it does to him. He will be home schooled for about 2 mons while he is still on PICC line. Doesn't bother him as of yet. But I have also noticed mood changes in him alot. He can cry in an instant. He can get major attitude. He can become very silly to the point he laughs at everything and its hard to get him to stop once he gets in these moods.

At the doses he's on I would still make sure that he was taking acidopilis. At those high doses its probaly killing his gut flora even though most was IV.
