Ok, so it started out as the twitchies but since yesterday it has turned into my whole body sort of convulsing every few minutes (or seconds). Although mostly on my left side.
Can anyone tell me if this is herxing? I am not on any abx at the moment, but have been taking supplements and doing anti candida stuff for about 3 weeks. I guess that's enough.
I haven't slept a wink all night because my body is flinging arms and legs all over the place and, well, arrrgh, I know it's probably normal but it's a little bit scary because my whole body jerks and I can't control it.
Any insight anyone can offer will be soooo appreciated.
Thanks,
Alison

Thank you SO much. I just got back from my doctor a few minutes ago and I am positive for Lyme through Bowen, but came up negative for both babs and erlich.
I was just commenting to my dad that I wanted to get tested for Bart too - thank you so much, this confirms it.
Thank you!
Alison

Off the top, probable contributors/triggers to this may be:
a combined high calcium intake AND, a moderate to severe magnesium deficiency.
moderate to high dose B complex, with vits B2,B6 as the main culprits.
high dose vitamin C, at least with oral intake. The vit. C would cause increased levels of quinolinic acid which would manifest as irritability. not sure if this would also cause the twitching and seizure-like movements/convulsions.
See Blewiweiss, M.D. essay, "When To Suspect Lyme" wherein in he mentions pseudo-seizures that are due to neuritis, and not actual seizures.
