But we DO have the ability to stay away from the ducks when possible and besides... Lyme is a clinical dx.
Ducks are shady... like this question.

None of the above.
You phone up IGeneX and ask for the IgM and IgG blood test kits to be sent to you. Then you explain to your duck how even though Lyme is a clinical diagnosis, most docs like to have these anyway and if you're going to test, this is the best there is.
Then your duck signs the little form, then off you go to the lab.
When the results come back to your duck, you post them here for help interpreting them, since your duck might not be able to understand them. "Indeterminate" results often turn positive after antibiotic treatment. Tests that are labelled 'negative' often have a positive band that is specific to Lyme -- LLMD's would call it a positive test, although your duck may not realize it.
Some people really are not able to get themselves under the care of an LLMD, for whatever reason. Perhaps you are in that category. If so, good luck with your duck - - it will be an uphill battle.
Ask IGeneX to send you the Lyme Times "Patients Issue" with your Kit. It has a wealth of peer-reviewed research in it that you might share with your duck in hopes of getting him up to speed.
Good luck to you!
