I got my recent labs back today. Everything was in range except Immunoglobulin M was low it was a 7 the range is 48-271mg/dl. The doc noted it but didn't seem to worried. What exactly is the Immunoglobulin M and if Lyme effects it how?

IgM for what? IgM is just a type of immunoglobulin which is a type of immune cell. I've never heard of an IgM being too low. Generally, it just means there were no antibodies of a given type if there is now IgM. I can't think of many cases where that is an issue UNLESS you have low IgM and that is used as a way to rule out something where it is evading the immune system and if your immune response was stronger or the bug were "known" to the immune system, you would be generating more. From what I can tell, nothing meaningful about a low IgM.
