I was reading a post the other day about drinking water and thought that if I did drink the amount that I should I would never be off the loo!

Does anyone else have this? I know that it is a signal to be checked for diabetis - I'm OK on that front.

I've always had this problem, within 15mins or less of drinking anything I'm busting for the loo!

I also spoke to this sa issues to my nutrionist many months ago. Her concern was that the water I was drinking was not getting into my system. The kidneys were just pushng it out right away. I am ok onthe diabetes front and have pretty good kidney function. I also looked a bit dehydrated, my face shil was very dry too. So, what helpped. Getting some electorlites into my water and some cranberry tabs. I noticed a change prety quickly. You do't want to take to much cran tabe because they do create some acid responce in yoou PH balance. Mostof us lymes do have ph issues onthe acid side. I also got some simple urine ph testing strips to keep an eye on my ph.

Hey MiMoMa, [Smile]

Yep...the water needs to be able to absorb, so by creating a saline solution with salt/electrolytes that matches the weight of your blood, it absorbs much better.

Check out http://www.watercure.com for more details - Dr. Batman's great.

Cheers,

Alison

Ive been drinking tons more water, up to 120 ounces a day.

I pee about 8 times a day. It doesnt bother me since I visualize all the toxins leaving my body.

There is a difference to feeling like you have to go and actually going.

Johnlyme has a good point, I think. I started out with pH test strips, and for the first three or 4 weeks I was on abx, my strips were in a category:
Dangerous Range

Now, five months into treatment, things are in the moderate range, but they go off track pretty quickly if I start getting sloppy with my diet.

The strips are inexpensive. I got mine at

http://www.ph-ion.com/

I also drink a lot of water. I feel as if I really need it, and when I haven't had enough, I can feel it.

Hope this helps!

Andie

I am usually up every hour to two hours during the night to use the loo myself.

I understand the spirochetes love the bladder and set up camp there.

Many have posted here about the constant need to urinate. You might want to do a search for more info.

Has Dr. Batman's "Water Cure" cured any Lyme patients of their pain and disease? I would like to believe his approach, but if it was really that effective, wouldn't more people be using it?

I've tried drinking lots of water, with various things added (sea salt, emergen-c, magnesium powder, potassium, etc.), and I didn't see any real improvement. Everything being caused by dehydration seems too simplistic, IMHO. He may have it backwards; disease (Lyme or whatever) may be causing the dehydration.

Dr. S in "Mold Warriors" talks about neurotoxins suppressing ADH levels, which leads to thirst and excessive urination. His approach uses cholestyramine to reduce the neurotoxin load, and DDAVP to boost ADH if necessary.

Diabetes Insipidus (maybe caused by Lyme) is another way to look at the problem:
