Hi Guys:

Wow. Been on Biax / Plaq. for 3 mths. Had a moderate herx at 3 week point and a weaker one at about 6 weeks. Pretty much what Dr. P. thought would happen.

But, now, at the 3 month point, I'm having a very strong 9 day long herx, one of my worst ever and I've been on abx, altogether, over a yr. and a half!

Man, in between these herx's I;ve been doing great but this is nasty!

Any of you seen similar at about 3 months on this combo? Man, it's discouraging [Frown]

Dave

Dave, Hi I am sorry to say I have no answers but I have just started the combo. Could you tell me what you mean by doing great in between the herxes. If you don'y mind me asking what are your herx symptoms. I am so sorry you are feeling so badly. I hope you feel better soon. Hang in there.
Take care,
mimi [group hug]

Hi Mimi:

Thx for your reply.

As far as doing good between the herxs, I mean my symptoms are quite relieved.

I have 2 main symptoms (few other milder ones). My main symptoms are a fibromyalgic condition (I call it the achy-shaky's) and PVC's in my heart.

Both of these symptoms were greatly improved over the 1st 3 months with this combo.

Hopefully, this latest flair will just be a bump in the road.

Dave

Hi Dave,
I been taking biaxin/plaq/doxy and had a couple of herx's that lasted a day or two when I first started and maybe a month later.
It's a couple of months later and I've been sick for about a week. I get bad head pressure, pain and dizziness.
Also get some muscle aches and pain along with insomnia and then fatigue. This time I vomited and had diarhea...not fun. Not sure if it was part of it or something else.
Like you I feel better in between. Well hope yours and mine passes soon!

Hi,

Been on biaxin 11 months. Took w/ plaquenil for 8 of those months.

I keep a daily journal and wrote my aches and pains for each day. On this combo many journal days are not written in due to no problems.

I have seen plenty of great days thankfully due to this combo.

My herxes pretty consisted of being very tired, cognitive problems and dizzy/nausea. It is not until recently that the pain started coming back.

Tommorrow I'll be starting flagyl.

Good luck and feel better,
