Well, if need for Mg supplementation is a sign of stage of disease, then I am worse. Earlier this year, I had to up the dose which had previously worked fine to eliminate the terrible leg and foot cramps. This is about the time that I think the neuro symptoms took an unhappy turn.
Might be some interesting correlations here.

What KIND of Mg are you taking, how much and how often? Do you take it WITH B vits? It is not the amt., but is the frequency...small doses often that really matters along with a few very other nutrients at the same time.
Where are your mineral levels at? All of them - including those less reactive than Mg (lithium, potassium, sodium, and Calcium are MORE reactive than Mg...the rest of the minerals are less reactive). Have you had them checked?
Might be an indication you need to increase probiotics? Take them one hour before meals with a full glass of water. One of the many "good guys" esp. needs Mg.
Is Bb NOT in your gut?
Do you take digestive enzymes? Are they missing?
Have you considered soya lecithin?
For the "herbalists" reading this...dandelions popped up once again in my research late last night. Yea, dandelions! Seems they are high in lecithin.
Their chemical and nutrient content follows:
biotin, calcium, choline, fats, gluten, gum, inositol, inulin, iron, lactupicrine (?), linolenic acid, magnesium, niacin, PABA, phosphorous, potash, proteins, resin, sulfur, vitamins A, B1, B2, B5, B6, B9, B12, E and P1 and zinc.
Parts used are the leaves, roots and tops.

Marnie- I was taking 2 capsules 2x per day on an empty stomach. The bottle is at home- not sure of exact dosage, but I think they are around 200 mg each.
Then before bed, 3 tsp. of nat. calm. I think that's at least 800 mg. Plus whatever I get in my multi, which is Pharmanex daily essentials.
I dont take the mg with B, but do take a generic b complex in the AM with breakfast.
Haven't had the minerals checked in a long time, I just get regular blood work up once a month.
Probiotics- 2 capsules primal defense 3x day and and 1 cap generic acidophilus 2 x day.
I don't believe BB is in my gut.
These recent troubles, are really just "loose" bowels. Not chronic diarrhea. Which seemed to be mitigated by a reduction of mag. (down to 2-3 caps/day and just 2 tsp. nat. calm.
Could it be from die-off from the Bicillin?
Haven't considered the soya. Thanks for the tip.

I have had a lot of diarrheal stools lately. It seems to have gotten worse when I started bi-cillin 3 wks. ago. I will alternate between diarrhea and constipation which I did not have prior to the bi-cillin.
I have also bumped up the diflucan. I know a lot of "stuff" is dying. Typically I get a shot, my body builds up a need for detox, then I have loose stools, then I get constipated.
Last week I took a magnesium bath EVERY night. I had some good days.

I too had issues with very loose stool. I discontinued the MG and within 48hrs it finally stopped. ( been going on about 6 weeks) I aslo think I was loosing alot of the abx benifits because of this. My muscle spasms and twithches which have been slowly decreasing continue to do so. However I do not trust thier absence they have been apart of my life for over 7 years. It is very un-nerving!
Take care and peace.

My digestive issues have resolved with stopping the mg.
I do however have a tremendous 1/2 a headache. I think I may have been losing alot of my abx because this is the headaches I get when starting Tetra both times. Can a headache be a herx?
My spasms and twitches continue to diminish which very unsettling. They have been with me for so long. I have noticed a constant vibrating though. It may have always been there just overshadowed by the spasms.
Take care and peace.

Dose matters, as does absorption via the form of the magnesium along with the the calcium status and Bvits in the body and the status of the intestinal tract.
You don't say what your 'digestive disturbance' was - There is an issue with dose called bowel intolerance, which is usually acheived at high levels and ends with diarrhea... cuz you just can't absorb as much as you took.
You don't mention how much you're taking or what you're taking with it.
It's possible you just need to lower the dose now that you're no longer deficient.

My impression is that it goes thru the system pretty fast, at least the effect wears off, so several smaller doses would work better than one big whopping one. Might also help with the bowel intolerance business. I take ordinary Mg twice during the day and a sustained release late at night, hoping to get thru the night without cramps.

Mg does can cause diarrhea. It's the active ingredient in a number of laxatives. That's why the label on Natural Calm says the optimal dose is when the bowels are comfortably loose.
Calcium, on the other hand causes constipation. Have you ever noticed becoming constipated after eating a lot of cheese?
LC, if you're taking Natural Calm along with some other Mg supplement, you may be taking too much Mg. You said you were taking 2 capsule 2x/day, but you didn't say of what.
You may need to back off on one of the Mg supplements, either the Natural Calm or the capsules. Natural Calm was recommended to me, but I've found that I don't really like the flavor, so I think when I've finished this container, I'm going to go to a tablet or capsule form.
