For the last couple of days my stomach has been itchy. It started feeling like my belly button was itching then the itching moved outward from my belly button.

Today there were some little red spots ( I usually get these on my legs) and also some red lines that looked like scratches. These lines have been coming & going all day long. The itching feels like it is under my skin. My ribs itch too on one side.

I'm also feeling very bloated. Anyone else have an itchy tummy or scratch like marks?

Hatsnscarfs,
Have you been tested for Bartonella?

Here'a good video for you to check out:

Scroll down to the last one by Dr. Martin Fried.
I wish I had seen this a year and a half ago when my daughter had some red dots on her abdomen around her belly button and then had streak like red marks that were painful and itchy!

I do hats.
I've been getting them since September. It started with an itchy red rash of tiny bumps in a sort of vertical lacy pattern on my right side.

I thought I was going to go crazy. The itching was waking me up at night. Antihistamines didn't work and after a day or 2 it burned when water hit it. The skin felt weird and hurt.

It went away, for a while, after restarting ABX.

It'll flare slightly for a few days and then fade again. Last week it started getting really itchy again and I lifted my shirt to look and had those blue-ish squigglies in the second picture that Gail posted. All lined up in a row above it.

I only started to suspect I had Bart a couple of months ago. I'm pulsing a low dose of Levaquin, now. The itching is better and my stomach hurts less.

I don't know if that helps at all, just know you're not the only itchy one. [Wink]

edited to add: Take a picture if you can.

i haven't had these Sx, inclu. the rashes in the photos. i get these very small tiny red dots(not petechiae), and not numerous. i assume bart. though, since i grew up with the "animal kingdom" in our house.

just a note to urge you to take video, and still photos, close up, and from a distance.

Any of you get a profuse rash that doesn't itch but shows up when your body is stressed (sick, strenuous exercise)? I have gotten a rash on my face, neck, chest, stomach and inside of my elbows when I get sick or do strenuous exercise. No one can determine what it is...two docs said it sounds bacterial in nature.

Anyone else have anything like that? It doesn't have any particular pattern and from a distance it looks more like sunburn because the dots are so teeny.

My LLMD thinks it might be babesia.
