Fellow Theralac Users:

I have been on Theralac for two weeks now and read that people should start taking it twice a week for maintenance purposes.

Does the same hold true for us Lymie who are on abx? Or should we continue daily Theralac doseage while on abx?

Thanks. vachick

I have been on theralac for two months now and love it.

Since I started I have stopped having my continueal yeast infections.

It says on the bottle that you can go on every othere day after two weeks.

I tryed this and it wasn't as effective for me.

I think maybe that is for the GP, this may work. But for people like myself who are on abx this eveyother day thing didn't work out.I take it every day.

Take care [Smile]

I myself and 2 children are on it while on ABX. I will continue with one every day until we are off ABX.

I will still continue with one every day for 2 weeks after going off ABX.

THen we will do the lower doseage recomended.

Theralac is teriffic!

I did try after two weeks of daily use to cut back to one every other day, but it did not work for me.

I now take one a day while still on ABX, and it works likes a charm! I will stay on this daily also until off of ABX, then go every other day.

In my opinion, it is WELL worth the money!

Every night at bedtime.

Gotta stay one step ahead!

Some fine day when I'm no longer on antibiotics, I will cut back to a couple a week but for now, I don't wanna get behind the curve and go back to the brown tongue syndrome. :-(

I read on a prior thread that theralac could negate the chromagen my daughter is taking for anemia. I cut her back to every other for a while, but her last blood work came back improved and within normal range. I put her back on daily!

Has anyone opened the capsule to put on their tongue?

It turns your tongue a deep violet color. I wonder what ingredient does that?

I have spoken to the Company and they recommend

taking it daily if you are on abx. And especially

if you have lyme. They can also be opened for

children and are still effective.

Just curious....do you who take the Theralac take anything else BESIDES Theralac....like acidophilus? Or just one Theralac a day?

And...when those of you who cut back on the Theralac and noticed it wasn't working for you to cut back...what was different?

I am taking Theralac...along with 2 Florastor a day for my C. difficile. And my GI tract is FINE now (thank goodness). I don't know if it was the 2 Florastors or the one Theralac that did it (or both). I guess when I quit the Florastor I'll know....

lymeout~ What is chromagen? Is your child iron deficient anemic? I am taking iron too...lots of it. I am hoping that the Theralac won't be too much of a problem. The company said it shouldn't be....

Hi Vachick

This is what I take and may seem like alot, but is what is working for me. I have been on heavy abx for many years & my flora is real low.

I take one theralac and mix it with other probiotics.

I take one theralac with two DDS/plus acidophilus /Bifidus/withFOS by USA lab
(15 billon count .)

And at night I take two all flora by new chapter
and two more of the DDS"s.

In between I open a capsule of kyro-dophilus on my tongue aprx 3XD

Take care

I've been on Theralac for 2 mos now. I've been off abx for over a year now, but still struggling with yeast and gi issues, and was hoping the 30 days would clear things up...

I was a mess again within 3 days of stopping and had to go back on acidophillus. I reordered the Theralac.

I called the company, and they told me those who had been on longterm abx would need a year of Theralac therapy to have things return to normal.

I do have to say it's saved me quite a bit of money. $40 a month instead of $120 a month for IFlora. Plus I've been able to get off New Chapter Super Critical Omega 7 (which helps TREMENDOUSLY with gi issues - especially leaky gut caused by yeast). Just one pill a day, taken whenever. No timing stuff when you eat, no multiple doses.

It's a good product and am sticking with it. [Big Grin]

timaca--
Since starting the theralac, I havent been doing any other probiotics. I probably should, but I have to take ABX 3 times a day and then I have to eat too and that makes trying to find a time to take probiotics very hard!

I try to eat some plain yogurt when I remember and am hungry.

One a day theralac girl here!
