I am on a brief abx break but I will be starting biaxin and plaq. very soon. Forgot to asked to ask the LLMD how I take this or if he told me I can't remember.

Do you take these meds with food? An hour before or after? I know it will probably say on the bottle but sometimes it's different since I'm combining 2 abx.

You can save me a long distance call to the LLMD. Thanks for your help.

Hi Ticked:

I took this combo for a while and if I remember correctly, there were no restrictions as far as food, etc.

Just be ready for the gosh awfull metallic taste that Biaxin gives you....Invest in some Tic-Tacs or something [Smile]

My LLMD was insistent I take the plaquenil with a meal. There is less of a metallic taste if you take the Biaxin with a meal too.

I was on this combo for 8 months / biaxin alone three months prior.

Drink lots of water. You'll probably want to becuase of the awful metal mouth biaxin causes.

I took meds in the middle of a meal.

Good luck this combo helped alot.
