OK, I am totally frustrated now. I have had yeast in digestive tract and a recent vaginal yeast infection.

I cant take Diflucan because of severe stomach pain, had allergic reaction to Oreganol, now I have been told Nystatin has possible gluten contamination (I also have Celiac disease).

I am taking large amounts of Probiotics including Theralac.Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Cindy

I am not familiar with your stomach pain episodes with the Diflucan. But could you try a 1/4 or 1/2 dose on top of a full meal and see if you tolerate it? That's how I start my son off on Diflucan, at reduces doses on a full stomach. If I have taken it with not enought food I will get nauseated. For which I have my trusty Phenergan on hand. I hate being nauseated . . .

Otherwise, do you have a compounding pharmacy near you? You could call and ask them about Nystatin and if their Nystatin has any gluten issues.

clp,

read this website. I have not yet given it a try but I believe my yeast is systemic and I am currently taking 50mg diflucan daily. This is the only dose I can tolerate because of the herxing in my joints.

When the diflucan runs out, I am going to give this a try.

Karen,
I have only been taking 100mg. on a full stomach.Maybe I'll try 50mg.My stomach is very sensitive and keeps me from taking a lot of the stronger meds my Dr. would like me to take.
