Went to see LLMD today and instead of putting me on IV's again she is putting me on Duflican. She thinks IV is kinda risky because I had an infection before in October 05. To be honest, I was kinda disapointed, but well see what happens.
Anyway, She saw a few quarter size dry spots on my neck and she said it's probably candida and maybe that whats holding me in crappyville.
Anybody out there have a rash go away after treatment.
My arent really rashes. More like dry spots. They dont itch. Just small dry indented dry spots.
thanks for any advice,
CaliLymer

Hi,
I'm sorry I don't have info to help you, but your post has helped me. I have a couple of dry patches that my LLMD said are not Lyme or coinfection rashes, and I couldn't figure out what they are. The nurse at my internist's office (they are not experienced with Lyme) just said they were dry patches and she didn't know what they were. Gee, I never thought about candida because I've never had rashes with candida before. But you are probably right because I've been a little lax with my diet lately. I can't go on Diflucan. I'll probably just up my garlic or try some natural anti-candida approaches and will let you know if anything helps.
I hope you get some helpful responses.

I also don't know but you're right, it could be candida.
In my face I have lots of strange rashes and no dermaduck could figure out what they are. Also, I had some of these dry spots.
In an attempt to treat myself I'm using an aggressive therapy with tea tree oil since 4 weeks. I was afraid that this would make my dry spots worse as it's drying out the skin and I don't want to use a moisturizer right now for other reasons.
So, after 4 weeks the tea tree oil has done nothing for the strange rashes but - now that I think about it - I don't have these dry spots anymore although I was expecting the contrary to happen. Tea tree oil is said to help against funguses.
Or was it a coincidence? One never knows.

I also don't know the answer to your question, but do agree that MANY Lyme patients remain in crappyville because of yeast. [been there!]
