OK...

Got the PICC line in on Monday, boy was that an experience. I didn't want one, because of my previous experience with the insertion of my last PICC line and the time it was in, but I decided to give it one more go....

Went in, met with the team that would be working on me, jumped up on the table (this time I didn't have to remove any articles of clothing), and the procedure began. All went smooth, and they thought the line was in, then my vein spasmd, and they had to take it out... On with cut 2... Same thing... Cut 3... one more spasm. I thought I was going to pass out, but cut 4 was the lucky one.

So, in excruciating pain, I reported to my LLMD's office for infusion. They helped out with a little pain medicine (since I could barely even walk), and helped me hook myself up to Primaxin.... Boy is that good stuff!!!

I totally have faith that there are a lot less spirochetes swimming around today.

I have a follow-up with my LLMD tomorrow, then with the nutritionist since I trimmed down 25 lbs in 6 wks, and on Friday one more in-office infusion where my boyfriend will be checked off to change my dressing weekly (since were 7 hours from the LLMD, and while we wait to set up home health care since my PCP is a total quack).

I'm excited to go home, and continue to kick some Lyme butt!!!

Every time they had to cut, they'd have to re-numb me, once that wore off two steps out of the hospital, I was done for.

That's definitely something to think about, about the lido. But it seems the first PICC I had lido and it went fine.

Anyways, if I need IV treatment after this PICC is removed I'll get something else.
