As Lyme/herxing symptoms go, this one is definitely one of the strangest, although since it isn't painful, I'm not too concerned with it but . . .

Has anyone else had this or know what's causing it? Every time I look at something with a white background, I see this bright, and I mean neon egg yolk sunshine bright, yellow overlay floating in front of me.

The closest thing I can compare it to is when you look at a bright light and get that pattern in front of your eyes for a few minutes afterwards, except this is not just a dot, it's like my whole visual field, and it doesn't seem to go away, although when I'm herxing it has been worse. I've had it for about 2 months now.

have the spirochetes invaded whatever part of my brain deals with color? I am perplexed. Mostly just curious though if anyone else has had this and any theories would be gladly welcomed.

And why yellow? Why not green or blue or magenta or puce or mauve or periwinkle? Dunno.

Thanks!

Alison

Hi Robi,

Sorry - should have included that info. It all started when I started taking Biaxin and Bactrim combo for the Bart.

Hey Alison,

I had that when I went on Cipro. But I am unsure

if it is related. I would be making a bed or the

pad that was white and it would have yellow all

over it. At first I thought the kids got a

highlighter in the wash then I realized it wasn't

really there. Very weird. The llneuro sent me to

the Opthamologist stat. Retina okay etc. So we

decided it must be a herx. I have alot of neuro

symptoms. And very likely have some BLO.

Although I can't get a positive for it.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. But know that

you are not alone.

Lyme5, super helpful, especially since it was the same highliter yellow! Thank you for sharing that.

Robi, thanks for the link to the Biaxin. Is that in the same family as Ketek? It didn't sday anything about vision except blurry, but who knows?

Thanks guys,

Alison
