Does anyone have any experiences with cipro for bartonella? I've taken it for about 10 days now and see nothing better.

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply kelmo.

It's just I've taken levaquin and noticed improvement in less than 1 week. Usually, abx shows some sign in a week. So, I'm worried, curious about cipro.

Cipro is one of the meds my LLMD mentioned as a possibility for me for Bart. But given I had to go off Levaquin after two weeks, and I've had Achilles Tendon pain for months, I'm not about to go on a quinolone right now.

But I got the impression from him - and also Dr. B's DVD that I watched - that Cipro is an alternate to Levaquin, but Levaquin is first choice. Why did you have to go off Levaquin?

Of course, Rifampin is an option, too - maybe that would work for you better than a quinolone.

I had good luck with it...it did linger however. I also had done Levaquin before that.
