Hiya, sorry to be a pest but this is getting really old.

I have been running almost daily fevers for over a year now. They used to come and go but since I stopped meds 7 weeks ago they are here all the time.

I was going a week - 2 weeks and getting a day without fever and starting over but that has stopped.

The past couple of weeks it's constant; they tend to fluctuate throughout the day, evenings higher but not always.

My normal waking temp (orally) is 96.8ish.

Here's an example of what I'm getting lately... today:
waking 98.2
noon 96.7
8pm 99

So chills-sweats-fevers, (either alternating or all at once) etc... is the life for me. I do realize this may well be the Babs but why is it varying so much and why does it never end?

Is there anything I can do to make my body regulate temperature a little?

Thanks for any input.
(Hmmm... and the first one that says I'm running hot and cold gets hurt.) [Razz]

fever bud...
Did the fevers stop while or when you treated Babs?

In all honesty, the fever is a farily minor annoyance (the accompanying exhaustion, pffft...). I could come up with a really nice nasty list of symptoms. This is just one of the ones I'm curious about today.

Thanks Trails

trueblue...over a course of many years now I would have to say in honesty I've had hundreds of what I guess you call low grade fevers. I also feel they are a minor annoyance, at least most of the time. As a matter of fact I've been feverish today the latter part of the day. I also get that hot face feeling alot.

Hmmm...

So here's the rest of the crap that accompanies the Fevers... (in random order)

Chills
Sweats
Hot skin/face...
Slimy/sticky perspiration that feels suffocating
Rash on the back of neck and back of hair that itches if I perspire.
Extreme tiredness (needing 9 hours sleep a night and a couple of hour nap most days)
Achiness, muscle fatigue
Swollen glands (under jaw on right)
Ear pain (mostly outer on the right)
Some odd auditory stuff
Right- jaw, shoulder, neck pain
Sore/scrathy throat
Intermittent difficulty swallowing
Lack of appetite, nausea, queasiness, whooziness, wanna hurl
Ocassional pain in right abdomen (although much inproved from last month.
Blue/black boil type thing on back of cartiledge of left ear (there for 2 1/2 months so far)
Frontal and/or temple headaches
Stiff neck, on and off
Eye pain and pressure
After images, patterns behind eye lids
Metallic taste in mouth, almost like blood. Yuck
Burning eyes
Cysts on lower part of face and neck (look like red underthe skin pimples but are not. Ranging in size from BB to Pea, they take 6 months or longer to heal.)
A couple of bites appearing on my wrist and leg last week and I big ole hive on my right hand that popped up last night.

I'm leaving out all my normal pain, skeletal issues, etc... this was just the on top of stuff.

This is an example of the recent past and present. This would be a fairly good day for me at this point.

If anybody bothered to read it thanks if not that's ok, too.

I'm done now, sorry. This wasn't meant as a whine so much as a list for me to see.

To me it looks like Babs, Bart AND who knows what all else. (the reactivated viruses? the gallbladder problem?)

Time for my nap. [Wink]

But the do wax and wane a tiny bit....whenever I am taking mepron/zith i get all the babs symptoms. It really brings it out in me. how nice huh?

So sorry to hear you're feeling crummy (or is that crumby??)

Anyhoo - I was never treated for Babs - however, I was treated for Bart, and of your symptom list below I had:

Sweats
Hot skin/face... My hot spots were always my neck, shoulders and ears...
Slimy/sticky perspiration that feels suffocating
Extreme tiredness (needing 9 hours sleep a night and a couple of hour nap most days)
Achiness, muscle fatigue
Swollen glands (under jaw on right)
Ear pain (mostly outer on the right)
Some odd auditory stuff
Right- jaw, shoulder, neck pain
Sore/scrathy throat
Intermittent difficulty swallowing
Lack of appetite
Bump on ear
Frontal and/or temple headaches
Stiff neck, on and off - mine was CONSTANT
Eye pain and pressure - I had eye swelling too
After images, patterns behind eye lids
Burning eyes
Cysts on lower part of face and neck. I had them on my neck - most were small and red and they popped out shortly into getting sick 3 yrs ago.

My body temp was in the 96's in the am, and typically around 99 every mid-afternoon (until I started treatment)

Just something to think about [bonk] Scarey coincidence??? Not sure...

Sending you healthy thoughts!!

Thanks Trails and LIH,

It seems the little bit of Babs treatment also intensified Babs symptoms and I had quite a few to start out with. And brought out a bunch of weird stuff I could never have imagined. After stopping it took about 5 weeks to get all that out of my system.

It appeared to have been hitting Babs and Bart together, to some extent. Part of the proof being the swollen glands did not occur at all during those 2-3 months.

Then I started to flare with my oldest symptoms. which might likely be Bart and then Babs rotating. Pffft... who knows?

Ok, yup, freaky same list.

I did forget to add today's nap symptoms...2 hours of shaking chills, biting toungue while trying to fall asleep and kept waking drooling, lovely! (swollen glands and saliva in overdrive)

So, I'm still wondering about the metal mouth taste and hadn't mentioned the spontaneous bruising and/or bleeding or...

I sure do think I should be on some meds soon. [Roll Eyes]
Especially since we've got me mostly figured out. [Big Grin]
