I knew I had an allergy to latex. Then a few years back I started to notice issues with bananas. Low and hehold, when I had my food allergy tests done, bananas were at the top! (highly allergic)
Then I read this:
Bananas and Latex Allergy Like avocados and chestnuts, bananas and plantain contain substances called chitinases that are associated with the latex-fruit allergy syndrome. There is strong evidence of the cross-reaction between latex and these foods. If you have a latex allergy, you may very likely be allergic to these foods as well. Processing the fruit with ethylene gas increases these enzymes; organic produce not treated with gas will have fewer allergy-causing compounds. In addition, cooking the food may deactivate the enzymes.
WOW! I learn something new every day!

Ha!
Hi dave & tony,
Maybe lymenet can make another category here on the website for this; you know,
Medical Questions General Support Find a Doctor Dirty Lyme Minds Computer Questions
But it might be only guys posting in that space. I heard this week about a nationwide survey that concluded that men think about sex like every 50 seconds, whereas women think about sex about once a day. (OK, I can hear the women out there disagreeing.)
