I will be getting a CD57 test done at Lab Corp this week. Just for the sake of argument, if it were to come back with numbers in the "normal" range, would that mean I do not have Lyme ? My current diagnoses is Lyme (I will also be getting a coinfection test done this week) based on my IGENEX WB and symptoms.

Thank You

nope, some people with normal are the ones sickest with symptoms. Some with the lowest (mine) are feeling good.

My llmd says it seems the lower the number the longer the infection the person has.

If it comes back in the normal range, I would consider co-infections, differential diagnosis, etc. It is possible, but not common in my opinion, to have a normal CD57 and still have chronic Lyme and symptoms resulting from it.

No way. Do a search here by clicking on the little word "search" right under LYMNET FLASH up above.

Type in CD57.

What is normal range?

I think I read it was 200, is this correct?

I just attended a support meeting and this question came up. One gal said hers was way above 300 and she still had many symptoms.

Mine is 288 and I am symptom free (so far for over two months.) But I never had the CD57 done during my 16 months of treatment. My llmd finally did it to see if it supported going off abx.

My LLMD said it indicates how ACTIVE the infection is; that is, the higher the number the less active the infection is.
