Has anyone noticed big differences in effect between the Rocephin (the brand) and ceftriaxone (the generic) or differences between the same generic but different lots (batches), or differences between the effectiveness of different generics? I am experiencing a major decrease in effectiveness on the same generic (ceftriaxone)but on a new lot number. I wonder if anyone else has experienced anything similar. Thanks - We'll Win

I have definitely felt a difference between brand name meds and generics. I always request a brand name unless it is no longer available.

call the company who makes it and speak with the public relations department. Look the company up on the internet or talk to the pharmacist for the company name.
